Thanks for this peak into your workflow. Starting at :32 you add a lot of depth to the images, going from flat to adding shadows. Are you adding a semi-opaque layer and lightening or erasing it?

Do you do anything to the pencils in Photoshop to darken or thicken them? They look just like ink? Love your stuff and thanks for sharing it. Also is all your childrens books coloured and drawn on the page or do you also use digital colour for those?
Phil – Yes, I use Photoshop to enhance my linework after I scan it. I generally use the Levels settings to make the lines darker and clean up artifacts.
And yes, all my illustration work is digital.
