This is an idea I had in mind ever since the conception of MSTF. I wanted to have a character that I could change up in drastic and fun ways, yet have them be a consistent character. I enjoyed drawing all these grumpy faces.
And this is, I admit, a very obvious nod to a certain Doctor! Minus the big blue box.

I’ve been continuing my iPad experiment. Like the previous page, I pencilled this in Adobe Ideas:
And this time, I also attempted inking. I used the app Sketchbook Ink, and I was pretty pleased with the results. I should note that I’m using my first-gen iPad, so I can’t use pressure-sensitivity even with my fancy schmancy Jot Touch stylus. This is straight drawing with the brushes included with the app. Pretty nifty.
Ahhh. I feel like I should know. I think I’ve been attentive. All I can think of is he was an actor on TNG. Picard was bald but not grumpy. Riker wasn’t bald but sure could be sour.
If the next one is her teacher, it doesn’t count as a twist.
I think we know what’s coming. Yay! So hoping for that.
Welp…one of these days I gotta get BBC America somehow and watch the new season.
